Uplinq is one of eight companies to be selected to join the impactful Station Fintech Accelerator program.
Launched by Finance Montréal and powered by Highline Beta, the Station Fintech Accelerator (SFA) will help Uplinq take the next step towards achieving its goal of transforming the credit lending process for small-to-medium sized business (SMB) lenders. Specifically, SFA provides a gateway that allows the cohort of participating companies to connect and eventually work more closely with Canada’s leading financial and insurance institutions. Alongside this, Uplinq will receive support from Highline Beta’s knowledgeable team of business experts to help evolve its product, pricing and messaging to the global market.
The through-line connecting startups involved in this year’s accelerator program is a focus on businesses, which facilitate the attainment of environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals. Through its innovative platform, Uplinq empowers credit lenders to better serve unbanked, minority and immigrant SMB owners, thus helping them attain financial inclusion by gaining access to fair and ethical credit products.
Speaking on his company’s selection, Ron Benegbi, founder and CEO of Uplinq commented: “Joining the SFA is a big moment for Uplinq, and I’d like to thank the program’s organizers for selecting us. We’re so fortunate to have an amazing community of emerging fintech businesses participating in the program and I look forward to working closely alongside them, as we all tackle this important issue.”
